    Arizona

Sedona, Arizona has a population of approximately 21,500 residents with thousands of  visitors each year enjoying the natural beauty and energy of the area.  One of Sedona's more distinctive man-made attractions is the  "Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village". Named for a picturesque suburb  of Mexico's Queen City, Guadalajara, and meaning "the best of  everything", the shopping center has become home to 40 unique shops  filled with the works of local artisans and craftsmen. It is a unique  blending of the old and the new, not unlike the city it resides in.

It  is this blending of cultures, from the artistic works of Mother Nature  350 million years ago and the carved rock formations painted striking  red to the first human beings, magnificent cave dwellings, humble  homesteads and artistic tributes such as the Tlaquepaque shopping center  that make Sedona the one-of-a-kind place it is known as. A visit to  Sedona is an experience that won't soon be forgotten.

Sedona - The Land of Art:

Sedona, ever-changing in the light, has attracted artists working in all mediums - all trying to capture its natural beauty. Sedona  is an Art Community at its core, from cutting-edge contemporary to  visionary, Native American to modern realism. This burgeoning level of  cultural activity helped foster Sedona's reputation as a destination.  Sedona now rivals Santa Fe and Scottsdale in its appreciation and  presentation of the arts. Sedona has over 40 galleries throughout the city, in Resorts and mostly in the "Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village".

Every  first Friday of the month, several of Sedona's most prominent Art  Galleries host an evening of openings, technique demonstrations and  receptions. The Sedona Trolley offers free transportation as it makes a  continuous loop between participating Art Galleries. For more  information, contact the Sedona Gallery Association at: 928-282-7390.

    Where to stay

Sedona. The location is simply magical and has been called "The Most Beautiful Place in America." I recommend Lauberge de Sedona. This beautiful upscale resort nestled uptown creeks.
